Marae Booking

Piritahi Marae is available to all individuals, communities, organisations, educational providers and whānau.

When booking the marae, you will have access to Kia Piritahi (Whare whakairo) sleeps 40 max., Ngakata (Wharekai) max. 90 people, the ablution block, and grounds of Piritahi Marae. The marae māra kai is a community garden at the rear of the marae, and you may see volunteers there during your stay. If you are interested in including māra activities into your stay then please indicate this on your booking form.

Pōwhiri: All new groups to the marae require a pōwhiri upon arrival. You will be asked to indicate on your booking form the level of support you will need for this. 

Overnight Stays: Overnight stays are measured in 24 hour blocks and the marae can be leased for as little as one night through to a number of nights, A  laundry fee will be applied as part of your booking fee as well as rubbish removal fee if all rubbish is not removed.

Catering Facilities: There is a full marae kitchen on site in the wharekai, Ngakata with the ability to seat 90 people.

Waste & Compost: All non compostable or recyclable rubbish must be removed at end of booking. If you are unable to do this a rubbish fee will be charged.

Tangihanga takes precedence over all bookings. If your booking is cancelled by Piritahi Marae, you will be re-imbursed in full.
